Certificates of Deposits (CDs)

A certificate of deposit (CD) is a type of savings account that restricts your access to the money you invest but offers much higher interest rates than those associated with regular savings accounts. Certificate of Deposit terms range from 90 days to 5 years. A $500 minimum deposit is required to open a certificate of deposit.

Commerce Bank & Trust offers a variety of terms and competitive rates.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)

An IRA is an account set up at a financial institution that allows an individual to save for retirement with tax-free growth or on a tax-deferred basis. IRA deposits are generally made with pretax dollars; you usually get a tax deduction on your contribution and pay income tax when you withdraw the money from the account during retirement. IRA accounts are available through investments in regular deposit accounts and certificates of deposit accounts.
